PYROGRAPHY

Pyrography is the art of burning an image onto a surface; usually timber or leather. The word 'pyro' means fire and 'graphy' is a hybrid meaning  art. Pyrography is a very versatile art form because it gives the artist the ability to create a vast range of images on any timber or leather surface. The art of pyrography can be used to create pictures or for decorating items such as wooden spoons, picture frames, doorstops, furniture and so on. Click here to see some examples.
